1) Taken reasonable care to maintain the heat in the building; ex: have someone check the house daily to make sure the heating is working;
2) Shut off the water supply and drained the system and appliance of water;
3) Connected “your” heating system to an alarm which is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, by a Central Monitoring Service.
Frozen pipes can wreak havoc in your home. At Crossroads, we also recommend the following:
1) Have your Sump Pump connected to a Central Monitoring Service;
2) Install a minimum of 3 Water Sensors in your home that automatically shut off the main water line when activated. The Water Sensors should be professionally installed and industry approved by either ULC or CSA.
*Additional Discounts may be available for Alarm Systems and Water Sensors.
